Cold weather will linger through the weekend. Highs in the Twin Cities area will probably be in the lower 40s Saturday.
A low-pressure system could bring periods of snow or a rain-snow mix on Sunday. Highs will be in the 30s north with 40s in southern Minnesota and the metro area.
Thursday advisories
My wife and I drove through snow showers last Thursday to get to the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory in St. Paul — we were searching for a spring preview.
We have intermittent snow showers again Thursday, so this is another speed bump on our journey into spring. Strong winds will linger over much of Minnesota and parts of western Wisconsin Thursday afternoon and evening.
