We should see increasing peeks of sunshine in central and southern Minnesota Friday while northeastern Minnesota continues to see some snow showers.

Temperatures remain cold into early next week. By midweek next week, we’ll finally start to see a discernible upward trend in temperatures.

Cold slog continues

Temperatures were frigid by April standards across the region early Friday. Our normal lows range from the upper 20s in far northern Minnesota to the upper 30s in the south.

One of the warmer outlier models — not necessarily a forecast — pushes in our first 80s in the last week of April. Certainly 70s look likely, at least.
