Two systems bring rain over the coming days

Clouds thicken Thursday with showers mainly in the south. Some scattered late-day showers and even thunder spreads north with breezy conditions.

For most of the day, scattered shower activity will be confined far to the south in Iowa and along its border with Minnesota, but by evening we will see scattered showers/thunderstorms develop into the overnight across central and southern Minnesota.

Temperatures will remain mainly in the 40s and low 50s Thursday with an increasing breeze.

It’s been a wet spring thus far and a wet April. It only seems fitting we have one more soaking on the very last day of this month Saturday. The weekend system continues to look like a more significant rainfall maker.

Saturday definitely looks to be the wettest day of the weekend but some showers will linger into Sunday. In addition to the rain we’ll have gusty winds, especially Saturday.
