Tuesday will bring more sunshine than the last several days as clouds decrease. Highs will be mainly well into the 50s with a few low 60s. We continue the warming trend into the weekend.
Decreasing clouds, increasing temperature
Clouds should decrease from north to south through the morning Tuesday.
A little sun will go a long way and warm most of the state well into the 50s with some low 60s south.
The temperature trend continues upward with 60s the rest of the week for much of central and southern Minnesota. Highs will be close to 70 for many by Friday into the weekend.
A necessary dry stretch
We’ll be mainly dry the rest of the week with two systems brushing mainly southern Minnesota Tuesday and Thursday. The Thursday system may bring a shower or two into the Twin Cities late in the day.
This is welcomed news as river levels will continue to rise late Tuesday in Grand Forks before falling overnight and that water is still making its way north toward Pembina through the weekend. Most of the Red River between Fargo and the Canadian border is at flood stage.
