One sign of spring for me is when magnolia blossoms emerge. Those blossoms are showing up a couple of weeks later than normal, but they’re here now.

You’ll be happy to hear that there aren’t any really cold temps showing up on the forecast maps over the next week or so. I’ve put the snow shovels back into storage.

Weekend temps and winds

Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 66 degrees on May 7. Many spots in the metro area are expected to reach the lower 70s Saturday afternoon. Much of Minnesota will see Saturday highs in the 70s, with some 60s in the northeast.

Rain chance on Sunday

Periods of rain showers are expected in much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin on Sunday, and a thunderstorm is also possible.
