Southerly winds will blow Monday pumping in a warmer and more humid air mass into Minnesota.
Highs Monday will reach the 80s across much of southern and western Minnesota. But check out the heat intensity to the southwest, where temperatures will approach 100 degrees Monday afternoon in Nebraska.

The core of that steamy air mass will slide north into Minnesota next Tuesday. Forecast models are cranking out highs into the 90s Tuesday across much of central and southern Minnesota. The European model cranks out temperatures into the mid-90s as soon as 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Tropical, sauna-like dew point levels are in the forecast air mass for next Tuesday. Dew points may hover near 70 degrees.
Combine temperatures in the mid-90s and dew points near 70 degrees and heat index values should push the 100-degree mark next Tuesday.
The good weather news? It looks like a cooler, drier air mass will blow into Minnesota next week. Highs should fall back into the 80s and 70s across Minnesota after Tuesday.
