Excessive heat watch starts on Sunday

Saturday will be the most comfortable temperatures of the next four days. There will be a lot of 80s in Minnesota, with mainly 70s in northeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin:

A few spots in west-central and southwestern Minnesota will top 90, and there will be some 60s near Lake Superior.

Rain chances

Northwestern Minnesota and parts of north-central Minnesota are seeing some scattered showers and a few embedded thunderstorms this morning. The best chance of scattered Saturday rain today will be in the northern third of Minnesota and parts of northwestern Wisconsin. Portions of west-central Wisconsin could see an evening shower or thunderstorm. An isolated shower of thunderstorm is possible this afternoon/early evening in central Minnesota as well.
