Marginal severe risk: A few gusty storms possible Tuesday afternoon

Keep an eye on the northwest sky Tuesday afternoon and evening, Minnesota.

Scattered rain cells and thunderstorms will be moving quickly southeast across Minnesota Tuesday afternoon and evening. A few of the cells could reach severe limits, packing gusty winds to near 60 mph and hail.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Storm Prediction Center paints a mainly marginal risk for severe storms across eastern Minnesota and Wisconsin, including parts of the greater Twin Cities.

Northern and central Minnesota will see scattered storms Tuesday afternoon. The highest storm chances for the Twin Cities area favor later afternoon into evening hours.
