Some showers Tuesday; pleasant temperatures through Friday

Tuesday brings some scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially north and west. Wednesday will yield a couple instability, pop-up showers or thunderstorms. Temperature remain pleasant through Friday before heating back up.

Scattered Tuesday showers; unsettled Wednesday

A disturbance Tuesday is bringing some scattered showers and a few thunderstorms to mainly northern and western Minnesota.

The better chance of some showers and thunder will come in the afternoon and evening for the Twin Cities and southeast Minnesota. Most measurable precipitation will be north and west.

An upper level low sliding behind Tuesday’s shower chance will make for an unsettled set up Wednesday.

When it moves over the relatively warm and moist surface, some pop-up, instability showers and thunder are possible  in the afternoon.

This will also keep temperatures below normal through Friday; mainly in the 70s but parts of northeast Minnesota will see just upper 60s.

Heat and humidity return this weekend

Muggy air will make its way back into Minnesota over the weekend, especially by Sunday.

An upper level ridge will return to Minnesota brining above normal temperatures and likely a few 90s heading into next week. Overall, the pattern will get hot and occasionally humid again.
