The fifty-six hundredths of an inch of rain tallied at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Saturday morning was the highest daily rainfall total at that location since May 25. Additional rain is possible Saturday evening. MSP airport has not seen more than than an inch of rain in one day since May 11th. Chanhassen in Carver County reported 1.62 inches of rain. Many locations in Minnesota and western Wisconsin saw periods of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday. Some spots in Kandiyohi County reported 2 to 3 inches of rain.
Saturday evening and overnight
A cool front is sagging through southern Minnesota Saturday evening and it’s expected to stall out near the Minnesota/Iowa border. That front will be the focus for multiple rounds of thunderstorms Saturday evening and overnight Saturday night. Heavy rain is possible in far southern Minnesota and northern Iowa plus parts of southwestern Wisconsin. A flood watch runs from 10 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday in the green-shaded areas:

Thunderstorm updates and updates on the potential flooding situation in southern Minnesota, northern Iowa and portions of Wisconsin will be posted by the Twin Cities and La Crosse NWS offices. The NWS Storm Prediction Center shows a slight risk of severe weather Saturday evening and overnight in southeastern Minnesota, southwestern Wisconsin and parts of northern Iowa. The Storm Prediction Center updates their severe weather outlook every few hours.
In addition to the thunderstorms to the south and southeast, a few scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible Saturday evening and overnight Saturday night in central Minnesota, the Twin Cities metro area and west-central Wisconsin.

Rain chances Sunday morning will tend to be highest in far southern Minnesota, then occasional scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible across much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin Sunday afternoon and evening.
Temperature trends
Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 82 degrees this time of year. Metro area highs will be in the 70s on Sunday, and we’ll share 70s with much of central and southern Minnesota plus western Wisconsin:

Northern Minnesota will see mainly 70s.
Sunday afternoon dew points will be in the sticky 60s to the south, with comfortable 50s and upper 40s to the north:

Back to forecast high temps, Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the mid to upper 70s on Monday, followed by lower 80s Tuesday, mid 80s Wednesday and Thursday and upper 80s on Friday. I should mention that it looks fairly rain-free in the Twin Cities through most of the coming work week.
Temperatures may be above-normal next weekend and into the start of the following week. The NWS Climate Prediction Center shows a tendency for above-normal temperatures in the upper Midwest from August 12 through August 16:
