Areas of fog Sunday morning, then afternoon sunshine

Temps rebound to start the week

A low pressure system centered over eastern Iowa late Saturday afternoon was spinning scattered showers over parts of southeastern Minnesota and west-central and southwestern Wisconsin. The chance of scattered showers will continue in those same areas Saturday evening, and an isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. A shower could clip the southeastern side of the Twin Cities metro area early Saturday evening.

You can hear updated weather information for Minnesota and western Wisconsin on the Minnesota Public Radio News network, and you can see updated weather info on the MPR News live weather blog.

Murky start to Sunday?

A high pressure system will spread into Minnesota late Saturday night and linger into Sunday. Winds will lighten up late Saturday night, allowing areas of dense fog to develop in parts of Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Those areas of fog will linger into Sunday morning, then skies should brighten by Sunday afternoon.
