A fine late summer weather pattern ahead

A few isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible, but most of this week will be dry.

If you like placid late summer weather it doesn’t get much better than this.

Weak bubbles of high pressure will generally produce warm dry weather this week. While there may be a couple of bouts of isolated to scattered thundershowers, much more of this week will be dry than rainy. Throw in abundant sunshine, comfortable humidity and light winds and you’ve got a recipe for beautiful outdoor weather this week.

Right now forecast models are not cranking out any organized widespread rainfall events. A chance for spotty thundershowers arrives late Wednesday. Another chance for an occasional thunderstorm appears to favor the upcoming weekend.

The Canadian model drags a slow-moving frontal zone through with scattered storms Saturday night through Sunday. The forecast loop below runs between 7 p.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. Monday.
