Weekend weather: Plenty of Labor Day weekend sunshine

Temps rise gradually

Our three-day Labor Day weekend looks quiet and rain-free across most of Minnesota plus western Wisconsin. People who start their weekend early could see a passing shower or isolated thunderstorm on Friday.

A nearby high-pressure system will deliver plenty of sunshine on Saturday and Sunday. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale forecast model isn’t showing any rain in Minnesota or western Wisconsin from 4 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday:

We have updated weather information for Minnesota and western Wisconsin on the Minnesota Public Radio News network, and on the MPR News live weather blog.
