It’s another hazy day with smoke filling the skies of Minnesota again. High temperatures will again be warm in the low to mid-80s south to near 70 north. Showers develop late Wednesday night into Thursday north.
Smoke and haze continue
Smoke continues to fill the skies across Minnesota. Air quality is at moderate levels in the Twin Cities with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 60. You want it below 50 to be ‘good.’ The air should improve Wednesday night into Thursday morning as winds become south.
High temperatures Wednesday will again be very warm, in the low to mid-80s south to near 70 north.
Thursday will again be pretty warm in southern Minnesota, well into the 80s. Winds also increase late Wednesday into Thursday as warmer air rushes in ahead of developing low pressure.
Rain develops Wednesday night into the weekend
We’re in for an unsettled stretch as rain develops late Wednesday night into Thursday across the northern half of Minnesota. That activity will spread south and east Friday.
Another round of showers/thunder is possible Saturday night as warm and muggy air pushes into Minnesota. In total, over the next several days, we’ll see a soaking across Minnesota with the heaviest totals northeast.
