Weekend temps close to normal; Chance of rain & snow in some areas Saturday

Winds ramp up on Sunday

What a difference one week makes. Last weekend we had highs in the upper 70s in the Twin Cities metro area. We'll see temps that are much closer to normal this weekend.

Weekend temps and winds

Our average Nov. 5 high temperature is 47 degrees in the Twin Cities. We’re looking at Saturday highs in the mid to upper 40s in the metro area. Most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will have Saturday afternoon highs in the 40s:

Rain/snow chances in some areas

Eastern Iowa and southern/central Wisconsin will have periods of rain Friday night. Far southeastern Minnesota and parts of west-central Wisconsin could see a few scattered showers. A stray shower is possible in the metro area late Friday night.

A low pressure system moves into eastern Iowa late Friday night then tracks northeastward into Wisconsin on Saturday. It’ll spin moisture back into eastern Minnesota and much of Wisconsin. The Twin Cities metro area will be near the western edge of that rain Saturday morning/early afternoon….with some occasional light rain showers possible. The metro area could also see a shower late Saturday night and before sunrise on Sunday.

Periods of rain are expected Saturday into Saturday night in southeastern Minnesota and across much of Wisconsin. Northeastern Minnesota and far northwestern Wisconsin could see a mix of rain and snow Saturday and Saturday night.
