What a difference one week makes. Last weekend we had highs in the upper 70s in the Twin Cities metro area. We'll see temps that are much closer to normal this weekend.
Weekend temps and winds
Our average Nov. 5 high temperature is 47 degrees in the Twin Cities. We’re looking at Saturday highs in the mid to upper 40s in the metro area. Most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will have Saturday afternoon highs in the 40s:

There will be some upper 30s in northeastern Minnesota and a few spots in the southwest could top 50.

Saturday afternoon wind gusts will be in the 16 mph to 24 mph range in roughly the southeastern half of Minnesota and in much of western Wisconsin:

Forecast wind gusts are in knots, with 16 knots equal to 18.4 mph. Far southeastern Minnesota could see gusts over 28 mph.
Sunday highs will be in the 40s in roughly the northern half of Minnesota, with lower 50s elsewhere:

Sunday will be windy, with afternoon gusts over 30 mph in central, southern and northeastern Minnesota and over 40 mph at times in northwestern Minnesota:

Rain/snow chances in some areas
Eastern Iowa and southern/central Wisconsin will have periods of rain Friday night. Far southeastern Minnesota and parts of west-central Wisconsin could see a few scattered showers. A stray shower is possible in the metro area late Friday night.
A low pressure system moves into eastern Iowa late Friday night then tracks northeastward into Wisconsin on Saturday. It’ll spin moisture back into eastern Minnesota and much of Wisconsin. The Twin Cities metro area will be near the western edge of that rain Saturday morning/early afternoon….with some occasional light rain showers possible. The metro area could also see a shower late Saturday night and before sunrise on Sunday.
Periods of rain are expected Saturday into Saturday night in southeastern Minnesota and across much of Wisconsin. Northeastern Minnesota and far northwestern Wisconsin could see a mix of rain and snow Saturday and Saturday night.

Temperature trends
Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to be in the mid 40s on Monday, followed by mid 50s Tuesday and lower 60s next Wednesday.

Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. this Sunday, Nov. 6. If you have any clocks or watches that don’t automatically adjust, you can turn them back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night.
