The reason we have such a prolonged period of snowfall is due to this upper-level low that’s literally cut off from the main flow of the upper atmosphere and jet stream. Snow showers continue to spin around the low as it slowly moves northeast.

Cooler and quieter after Thursday
Temperatures Thursday will still be near normal or above in eastern Minnesota but cooler air moves in for the end of the week into the weekend. Low temperatures Thursday night into early Friday will bring a few subzero readings for northern Minnesota but most places will see single digits and low teens.
Highs Friday will be in the teens to low 20s, just slightly cooler than normal and we should see some sunshine return.
Notably, the pattern is quieter as well with dry weather Thursday afternoon through next week for most of Minnesota. There’s also no arctic air in sight.
