Snow develops late Wednesday afternoon in southwest Minnesota and spreads north and east into the evening and overnight Wednesday night. Snow will wrap up around morning to midday Thursday.
Another winter storm
At least this next round of moisture will be all in the form of snow rather than a sloppy mess of rain or freezing precipitation. Most of the day Wednesday will remain dry for most of us with continued mild temperatures. Highs will range from the low to mid-30s in southeast Minnesota to the teens in northwest Minnesota.

Snow showers will develop in southwest Minnesota into the late afternoon and evening and spread east and north through the evening and overnight hours.

Most of the snowfall is done during the morning hours Thursday with some lingering snow showers into midday in eastern Minnesota.
A significant swath of snow will fall across southern Minnesota. Little to no snowfall will occur for northwest and northern Minnesota.

Slightly cooler but still near or above normal
Temperatures will cool slightly behind our latest winter storm but will generally be near or above normal heading into the weekend.

Next week likely brings colder temperatures but the models differ to what extent. Either way, anticipate at least some below normal readings.
