Wind chills will continue to range from 15 to 35 below zero Tuesday morning. We’ll see another day with sun and warmer afternoon temps with highs near 10 south and zero north.
Another cold morning but warmer afternoon
It’s yet another frigid morning in our latest cold snap. Temperatures are mainly in the teens and twenties below zero with wind chill values in the 20s and 30s below zero, prompting advisories again.
It will warm up a little more on Tuesday. Look for afternoon highs near 10 in the south with a few spots in far northwest Minnesota staying just below zero.
It will not be nearly as cold Tuesday night with lows remaining above zero for the Twin Cities and much of southern Minnesota, but the cold will linger into far northwest Minnesota.

Wednesday afternoon will bring high temperatures approaching 20 for portions of southern Minnesota.
Mainly dry but some light snow north
While most of central and southern Minnesota will be dry and quiet this week, we will see some light snow in northern Minnesota late Tuesday into Wednesday.
Snowfall will be fairly light however with totals coming in well under one inch.
Those snow showers are moving ahead of a reinforcing shot of cold air that will drop temperatures briefly again late Thursday into Friday. We’ll bounce back quicker however with widespread 20s for the weekend.
