Many areas saw some snow Saturday night and Sunday morning, and additional periods of snow are in the forecast Sunday afternoon and evening.
Snow lingers through Sunday night and into Monday in portions of northeastern Minnesota, far southeastern Minnesota and in much of Wisconsin.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential precipitation pattern from 1 p.m. Sunday to 6 p.m. Monday:

Snow totals are highest where there was an earlier changeover to snow Saturday night.
The 7 a.m. snow total at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was three-tenths of an inch. An updated snow total will arrive Sunday afternoon. The National Weather Service office in Chanhassen has tallied 1.8 inches of new snow so far.

If you’re measuring snow, it’s best to average as least three measurements in spots with little or no drifting. Don’t measure in areas where the snow may have blown off a roof.
Additional snow
Additional snow totals of 2 to 3 inches are possible Sunday in central Minnesota and parts of southern Minnesota, with higher snow totals in northeastern Minnesota and portions of northwestern Wisconsin.
