Next slowly moving storm comes at a bad time

We’re in a really critical time as many of our rivers will be cresting this week or into the upcoming weekend. River gauges are high most everywhere.

The big increase in river levels is a result of the rapid melt of last week but also additional moisture that’s fallen. We have a large, slow-moving storm system moving in Wednesday with lingering effects into Saturday.

Most will see mainly rain Wednesday with some snow north, but there will be a better chance of accumulating snow Thursday in northeastern Minnesota.
