Tuesday will be the last sunny day for a while. Temperatures will range from 60 degrees south to just 40 in the Arrowhead. Showers and thunderstorms develop late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, the first of a few rounds of moisture. Snow will fall Thursday, north.
Nice Tuesday before rain, thunder develop
We’ll have abundant sunshine Tuesday with just some high clouds moving in Tuesday afternoon. High temperatures will range from 60 south to 40 in northeast Minnesota.
The next storm moves slowly with a few rounds of moisture into Friday. Round one will come as scattered showers and thunderstorms late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
That moisture will turn to a wintry mix in northern Minnesota as showers lift north. Another round of showers and thunder will develop south later in the day into Wednesday night.

Rain turns to snow north
The final, prolonged round of precipitation will bring more showers south Thursday with precipitation turning to a wintry mix and snow in northern Minnesota through Friday.
There could be some freezing rain and sleet as well as the potential for significant snowfall in northeastern Minnesota.
Several inches of snow is increasingly looking possible for northern Minnesota into northern Wisconsin Thursday into Friday. We’ll likely see some scattered rain and snow showers south Friday into Friday night but accumulations are unlikely for southern Minnesota.
Continued cool but dry next week
Temperatures look likely to remain below normal next week, mainly in the 50s south and 40s north.
We also look to settle into a drier than normal pattern for several days into next week as well.
