Northern Minnesota will still see a few flurries and sprinkles Monday. Otherwise look for sun. Temperatures won’t be as cold but will still be below normal. The next storm system will bring showers late Wednesday north and intermittently statewide Thursday into Saturday.
Sunshine for most into Wednesday
Southern Minnesota will see abundant sunshine through some occasional clouds on Monday. Northeastern Minnesota will see some flurries and a couple of sprinkles as instability lingers still from last week’s storm system.
The sun should persist through the first half of Wednesday ahead of the next round of moisture.
High temperatures Monday will range from the low 40s north to the low 50s south. Those readings are still below normal but warmer than the last several days.

We’ll gradually warm up a few degrees each day. By Thursday we should see 60s return to southern Minnesota. It will be the one day this week of normal to above-normal temperatures.
More rain, snow arrive later this week
We’re in for more rain and snow starting late Wednesday in northern Minnesota. Look for occasional chances of showers into the weekend as yet another cold core, upper-level low becomes cut off from the atmosphere, making it a very slow mover, just like the previous storm.
While it won’t rain constantly, there will be waves of moisture and lots of clouds, pushing temperatures back down.
The models vary some on precipitation but it does look like a widespread one-half inch or so is possible Wednesday into the weekend.
This next batch of precipitation comes as our rivers remain high, even near their crests. Many locations are seeing moderate to major flooding with some increases expected yet this week.
