Slightly cooler Thursday
Temperatures will be slightly cooler Thursday behind Wednesday’s cool front. Highs will mainly be in the low 80s south to the 70s north. Dew points will be slightly more comfortable also, in the 50s.
Friday into the weekend will largely see seasonable temperatures with the chance of some spotty storms developing Saturday afternoon north into Saturday night south for portions of Minnesota due to a fast moving but relatively minor, upper level disturbance.
Heat builds next week
Temperatures heat up as the high pressure ridge to the west builds east pushing temperatures in the 90s for much of next week across western and southern Minnesota.
The latest drought monitor will come out Thursday morning also and will likely worsen with the hot and dry weather ahead.
