A major soaking rainfall event dumped multi-inch rainfall across a wide area of central Minnesota including parts of the Twin Cities area Sunday night into Monday.
Areas just west of the greater Twin Cities area picked up 2 to more than 4 inches of rainfall in the past 24 hours. And one observer near Annadale, Minn., is reporting an astounding 6.75” of rainfall. That’s about a month and a half’s worth of rain in under 24 hours.
You can see on the map above the zone across Wright, Stearns, Meeker and Kandyohi counties where the heaviest rainfall came down.
