Storms will develop ahead of that cool front late Wednesday in northern Minnesota and spread into eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin through the evening and overnight Wednesday night.

A heat wave is taking shape
It will be cooler behind the front briefly on Thursday with highs mainly in the 70s and dew points dropping back into the comfortable 50s.
Friday will see temperatures warm back into the 80s and then the heat really takes off for the weekend into early next week. An upper level ridge, or heat dome will develop over the central U.S. creating the potential for several days of heat.
Saturday will be the first of potentially several days of 90 degree-plus temperatures into early next week.
