High temps this Sunday will be much closer to normal than the summery warmth that we saw last Sunday.
The average Twin Cities high temperature is 62 degrees this time of year. Metro area highs are forecast to reach the upper 50s today….a few spots in the metro could touch 60.
Much of Minnesota will have Sunday highs in the 50s, with 40s in parts of northeastern Minnesota and some 60s in southwestern and west-central Minnesota.

Low temperatures late Sunday night into Monday morning will be in the 30s across most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin:

Downtown areas of Minneapolis and St. Paul may see low temps close to 40, with mainly 30s in the suburbs.
Parts of northeastern Minnesota could dip to 32 degrees or lower, so a freeze watch runs from late Sunday night to 9 a.m. Monday in that area:

Monday high temps will be mainly in the 50s, with some 40s in northeastern Minnesota and far northwestern Wisconsin:
Most areas will see lows in the 30s Monday night/early Tuesday and some spots up north could dip into the 20s.
Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the mid 50s on Tuesday, followed by upper 50s Wednesday then mid 50s Thursday and lower 50s Friday.
Rain chances return Thursday into Friday
Most of Minnesota will have a dry Sunday. Parts of northeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin could see scattered sprinkles or a passing light rain shower Sunday afternoon and evening.
The next good chance of rain arrives Thursday afternoon/evening and lingers into Friday, as a low pressure system spins moisture over Minnesota and Wisconsin. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Global Forecast System model shows the potential rain pattern from 1 p.m. Thursday to 7 p.m. Friday:

The Twin Cities record high temperature for Oct. 8 is 87 degrees, set in 2010. That was the first of four consecutive days with Twin Cities high temps in the 80s:
