Another clipper system is approaching Minnesota pulling in warmer air and creating showers late in the day for northern Minnesota. Saturday will be windy behind it. Next week could bring big changes.
Mild start to the week; strong storms possible
Showers and thunderstorms early Monday will continue to move north and east ahead of a warmer and more moist air mass surging northward.
Highs Monday will be well into the 60s across southern Minnesota and most of us will see sunshine break out by midday into the afternoon.
Showers in far northern Minnesota and thunderstorms in southern Minnesota will develop late Monday night into the very early morning hours Tuesday.

Some of those storms could be severe with mainly a hail threat in southern Minnesota. A marginal risk (level 1 of 5) is forecast.
Tuesday will be warmer for southern Minnesota with 70s even possible in southeastern Minnesota.
Dew points will climb into the 60s in southeastern Minnesota, which is downright humid by late October standards.
The warmth and moisture combined with a developing storm system and cool front will create the potential for more storms Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night and Wednesday.
Again, a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) is forecast for late Tuesday across mostly southeastern Minnesota.
Late-week storm brings much colder air
Another storm system develops and moves through the region Thursday into Friday bringing more rain and even possible snow to northwestern Minnesota.
That storm will pull in much colder air for the weekend. Temperatures will be 15 to 20 degrees below normal by the weekend into early next week with highs ranging from 30 to 40 degrees.
