Today in Fargo-Moorhead: 0-degree wind chill, flood diversion project

Watch for flakes this afternoon and evening (just an inch or less, though). The National Weather Service says if you’re in a rural area, expect some blowing snow with decreased visibility.

By Tuesday morning, have your winter gear ready: We’ll see wind chill readings around zero.

Contractors have completed a key part of the Red River flood diversion project. A $50 million structure that will control the flow of Red River flood water into a 30-mile-long diversion channel is now complete. The channel is still under construction.
