Last Friday started out warm, then temperatures crashed in the morning, giving way to a whole week of chillier-than-normal weather. On this Friday, we’ll warm to about normal for early November.
The average high temperature for the Twin Cities for Nov. 3 is 48 degrees, and that’s about where we should be by later Friday afternoon. Statewide, look for highs in the 30s up north and 40s to the south. Winds will be light.
Another rather mild day Saturday
High temperatures on Saturday will be in the 30s again in northern Minnesota. Most of the southern half of the state will get a repeat of 40s while southwestern Minnesota could enjoy low 50s as warmer air begins to enter the state.
The one wrinkle in Saturday’s weather might be some scattered light wintry mix across the far north.

Unsettled next week
Weak disturbances will bring unsettled weather, mainly in the form of scattered rain, next week, but no big storms seem likely to pounce.
Cooler temperatures will return by later next week with highs chillier than average.
Milder mid-November
Looking much farther ahead, the week after next seems to have a good shot at becoming mild again as we head into mid-November. The outlook is for a good chance of warmer-than-normal temperatures for our part of the country during Nov. 10-16.
