Lingering showers north, windy statewide Monday
Lingering rain showers will turn to a wintry mix of possible light freezing rain and snow showers in northern Minnesota Monday.
Cooler air is spreading across the state keeping temperatures mostly steady in the 40s and 50s south to 30s north.

It will be blustery with west winds at 10 to 20 mph and gusts up to 30 mph through the day Monday.
Zonal flow brings more precipitation Tuesday into Wednesday
The upper-level flow remains zonal, which is fast moving west to east. This keeps us relatively mild but also brings in frequent disturbances that will touch off precipitation chances.
The next upper-level wave arrives Tuesday producing rain showers in west central Minnesota Tuesday morning that will expand north and east by the end of the day into Wednesday.
In northeastern Minnesota, the moisture will turn to snow and there will be some accumulation.
Overall mild pattern in the extended forecast
Both the six to 10-day and eight to 14-day outlooks call for likely above normal temperatures for most of Minnesota.
