A low- pressure system in southern Canada brought us strong wind gusts Sunday afternoon.
Here are some of the wind gusts recorded at 4 p.m. Sunday:
46 mph St. Paul (Holman Field airport)
38 mph Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport
37 mph Brainerd and Mankato
36 mph Hibbing
35 mph Marshall
Strong wind gusts will continue into Sunday evening, then winds taper off gradually late Sunday night.
Snow chances
Eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin could see scattered snow showers into Sunday evening. Strong winds could lead to reduced visibilities in some areas.

A few scattered light snow showers are possible Monday in northeastern Minnesota.
Cold northwesterly winds will be riding over the open waters of Lake Superior Sunday night through Monday night. That will enhance snowfall totals across much of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan:

Temperature trends
Very cold air will spread over Minnesota and Wisconsin Sunday night, then linger into Monday night.
Low temps early Monday morning will be in the single-digits across much of the northern half of Minnesota, with lows mainly in the teens elsewhere in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
Monday high temperatures will be in the teens in most of northern Minnesota, with 20s elsewhere in Minnesota and in western Wisconsin:
Monday wind chill temps will be below zero in much of northern Minnesota, with wind chills mainly in the single-digits above zero across the remainder of Minnesota.
Tuesday high temps recover a bit, but they will still be below normal:
The average Twin Cities high temperature is 36 degrees on Nov. 28.
Wednesday will probably be the mildest day of the week, with highs topping 40 degrees in many areas:
Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to be around 40 degrees on Thursday, followed by upper 30s on Friday. Check forecast updates.
