A bit cooler Wednesday and Thursday
Stubborn low clouds will hang on much of Wednesday but we will see some clearing from north to south by later in the day. Those clouds will yield some flurries and isolated areas of freezing drizzle. Temperatures will be largely steady with upper teens north to low 30s south.
Low temperatures Wednesday night will depend on the extent of clearing skies. Some models keep us mostly cloudy while others clear us out, at least temporarily.
If we see sufficient clear breaks, temperatures could drop to zero or even slightly below in pockets of northeastern Minnesota to the teens south.

Weekend snow then colder late next week
Clouds return Friday but so does milder air into the weekend ahead of a system that will bring light snow.
Snow showers will develop north Friday and expand east Saturday into early Sunday.
Accumulations will be on the lighter side for most of central and southern Minnesota, but several inches could potentially fall across northeastern Minnesota, especially the North Shore.
After that we’re in for colder air late next week. Models still differ on just how cold and for how long, but below normal temperatures look likely for a change.
