Light winds overnight allowed fog to develop in many areas.

A dense fog advisory covers much of the southern third of Minnesota (including the southern part of the Twin Cities metro area) plus west-central Minnesota and portions of Wisconsin:

The dense fog advisory continues until 9 a.m. for most areas, but runs until 10 a.m. in far southwestern Minnesota and until 11 a.m. in far southeastern Minnesota.

The average Twin Cities high temperature is 24 degrees this time of year. Metro area highs are forecast to reach the upper 40s Thursday afternoon.
