Wednesday will be again very mild with filtered sun through high clouds. Winds pick up behind a cool front Thursday with briefly cooler air Friday. Temperatures warm again this weekend.
Very mild Wednesday, then a brief cooldown
Look for another very mild day Wednesday with temperatures that will be about 15 degrees above normal in the 40s for much of the state. Portions of southwestern Minnesota and the southern-most counties will reach the low 50s.
With yet another incredibly mild day and sunshine, we’ll see more melting of what little snow there is.

The latest analysis of snow cover shows just a trace to as much as only 2 inches in the swath remaining from last Wednesday night’s snowfall. Northeastern Minnesota still has a bit more snow but it’s well below normal snow depth for this time of year:
Temperatures will dip back below freezing for most Wednesday night with partly cloud skies.
A cool front slides through late Wednesday night increasing the winds Thursday. Winds by Thursday afternoon will be from the northwest at 10-20 mph.
It will still be mild Thursday as cooler air blows in with highs in the 40s south and 30s north with more sunshine.
Friday will be briefly cooler with a mix of clouds and sun. Highs will be back in the 30s across southern Minnesota to near 40 along the Iowa border with 20s north. It will also be breezy still with northwest winds 10-15 mph.
Temperatures will warm up quickly again over the weekend into early next week with 50s and even 60s looking likely Monday.
