Mild Sunday afternoon temps; breezy in western Minnesota

The Saturday high temperature at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was 41 degrees. Parts of the Twin Cities metro area could top out in the lower 50s Sunday afternoon. The average Twin Cities high temperature is 39 degrees this time of year.

Sunday high temps will reach the 50s across much of the southern half of Minnesota and in the Red River Valley of northwestern Minnesota, with mainly 40s elsewhere:

Winds in eastern Minnesota will be much lighter today than they were on Saturday. An approaching low pressure system could generate wind gusts of 20 mph or higher in far western Minnesota Sunday afternoon.
