Today in Fargo-Moorhead: Windy weekend ahead, Minnesota drought worsens

A partly sunny Thursday’s high temperature is 50 degrees. The weekend will be blustery. Friday warms to 54 and the weekend cools off; highs Saturday are in the low 40s and Sunday will get to 31.

Drought continues to deepen in Minnesota due to lack of snow cover and precipitation since the first of the year. There’s no significant change in that pattern in sight.

From WDAY and the Fargo Forum: A 26-year-old Grand Forks man was arrested early Thursday after allegedly fleeing police and crashing in south Moorhead.

Moorhead area high school students, we see you. Friday marks four years since Gov. Tim Walz announced the state’s first COVID-19 school closings. Students who entered high school in 2020 saw their entire experience shaped by the pandemic. Those graduating this spring say their high school years are a tale of resilience in a harsh time.
