Snow (at times patchy and blowing) prevails through Tuesday in the area, which includes a winter storm warning until 7 a.m. Tuesday. It’s very windy out there.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation says roads are snow covered and scattered snow drifts are reducing visibility in the Fargo area. In Moorhead and surrounding areas, there are high winds and compacted snow, which is either partially or completely covering the roads.
Moorhead saw 4 inches of snowfall from late Sunday into early Monday. Fargo’s snowfall totaled 2.1 inches on Sunday alone. The highest Sunday snowfall in the region was New York Mills with 7 inches.
Monday’s high is a snowy, blustery 29 with wind gusts as high as 36 mph. The area should see total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches before nightfall and another 1 to 2 inches overnight.
