We’ll have sunshine much of the day and warmer temperatures Wednesday. Spotty showers will develop west and north later in the day. Thursday will be cooler with a few showers.
Warmer Wednesday with scattered showers developing west and north
Wednesday will see highs well into the 60s across much of Minnesota with some spots near 70 in southern Minnesota. Those readings will be 10 to 15 degrees above normal.
The next chance of showers develops Wednesday into Thursday as an upper-level disturbance and cool front sweeps across the region. There are already a few sprinkles in northwestern Minnesota Wednesday morning.
Thursday will be cooler with more of a mix of clouds and sun and those spotty rain showers.
The rainfall won’t amount to much in this system due to its spotty nature. Northeastern Minnesota could see up to one-tenth or two-tenths of an inch in some places.
Sunshine returns Friday with much warmer air for the weekend. Highs will be in the 70s this weekend across central and southern Minnesota with sun for most. Sunday will bring more clouds and a few showers to northern Minnesota.
Another system could bring widespread rainfall Monday into Tuesday, early next week.
