Chalk up the latest soaking rain this spring. The heaviest rain fell around the Fargo-Moorhead area into west-central Minnesota overnight into Thursday morning. Several areas around Minnesota recorded up to an inch of rainfall.
Here are some select rainfall totals from around Minnesota. Note the widespread distribution around different parts of Minnesota.

Moorhead, 1.57 inches
Worthington, 1.39 inches
Pelican Rapids, 1.29 inches
Detroit Lakes, 1.14 inches
Caledonia, 1.3 inches
Owatonna, 0.98 of an inch
Fergus Falls, 0.96 of an inch
Bemidji, 0.87 of an inch
Cohasset, 0.65 of an inch
Excelsior, 0.44 of an inch
St Paul, 0.31 of an inch
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, 0.18 of an inch
Drought conditions unchanged
Thursday’s rainfall came in after this week’s drought monitor cutoff, so drought conditions remain largely unchanged around Minnesota in this week’s report. About 11 percent of Minnesota remains in drought status.
