There will be scattered showers and a few thunderstorms Tuesday as an upper-level low lingers through the region. Sunshine breaks out Wednesday with warmer temperatures returning.
Scattered showers, thunderstorms Tuesday
An upper-level low with cold air aloft will continue to generate instability and spotty showers and a few thunderstorms Tuesday.
Temperatures will be on the cooler side of normal again Tuesday with a mix of clouds and sun along with the hit-and-miss showers.
Sunshine builds back in Wednesday as high pressure settles in. Temperatures will be warmer too as a result.
Clouds will increase Thursday ahead of the next system poised to bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to western Minnesota late Thursday and statewide Thursday night into Friday with lingering spotty thunder Saturday.
Temperatures will also be trending warmer, into the 80s for southern Minnesota in time for the start of June.
