Drought nearly eliminated in Minnesota
The latest U.S. Drought Monitor report continues to show improvement in Minnesota drought conditions. Now only 2 percent of the state is in moderate drought in north-central Minnesota.
Notably, moderate drought finally has disappeared from far southeastern Minnesota in Mower and Fillmore counties.
Most of the state saw 1 to 2 inches of rainfall in the past seven days broadly. Northeastern Minnesota was the one spot with less at just about one-quarter to one-half inch of rainfall.
