MPR News is excited to announce the launch of its new messaging club, Footnotes. This service provides early childhood news updates and essential information about children aged 0-5 for their caregivers. Hosted by early education reporter Kyra Miles, Footnotes seeks to support families with young children by delivering timely, relevant content directly to their phones.
Footnotes will offer a range of updates, including news on early childhood education, tips for caregivers from early childhood educators and pediatricians, and local events tailored for young children and their families. Subscribers will receive text messages with curated content driven by their questions to inform and support their caregiving journey.
The service is easy to join and free of charge. Caregivers can simply text “FOOTNOTES” to 612-512-0111. Once enrolled, they will begin receiving regular updates crafted by Miles and the MPR News team.
MPR News’ initiative underscores its commitment to supporting early childhood education and providing valuable services to the community. By leveraging the convenience of text messaging, Footnotes aims to bridge the information gap for busy caregivers and ensure they have access to the latest news and resources.
