High pressure will keep skies mostly sunny Monday. The next disturbance will spread showers across the state Monday night into Tuesday morning. More storms are possible Wednesday.
Nice Monday but some rain is on the way
We’ll have sunshine and light winds Monday thanks to surface high pressure sitting over Minnesota. Highs will be mostly in the 70s with cooler readings right near Lake Superior.
Showers will develop in far western Minnesota by late Monday evening and those showers will spread east overnight into Tuesday morning. Some additional thunderstorms will be possible later in the afternoon and evening.
It will be warmer Tuesday with highs near 80 in southern Minnesota.

A couple of the spotty storms that redevelop in the afternoon Tuesday could be strong. There’s a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) for severe storms.
Warmer with more storms possible Wednesday
Wednesday will see some of our warmest temperatures yet with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 in southern Minnesota.
It will also be muggy with dew points increasing into the 60s.
This will set the stage for storms to develop late Wednesday into Wednesday night. Large hail is a concern along with damaging wind gusts.
There’s a slight risk (level 2 of 5) already for potential severe weather Wednesday.
It will then be a little cooler Thursday and Friday behind those storms. It will get steamy again later in the weekend into early next week with more storms possible Saturday night into Sunday also.
