Get ready for one more day of isolated pop-up thundershowers.

Wednesday brings a minor weather plot twist. A small ripple in the atmosphere could produce a few morning showers around the Twin Cities area. Then the atmosphere reloads for the lately typical chance of late-afternoon thundershowers.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s FV3 model shows a few blips near the Twin Cities between about 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. Wednesday and a few more in the late afternoon. Coverage should be very limited like the past couple days.

Thursday through the weekend looks mainly dry and gradually warmer. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s on Thursday and Friday:
