We’re breathing easier around Minnesota this week. Gone are the tropically stifling dew points in the 70s. The Doppler is finding more dry space in between isolated showers. And temperatures are downright pleasant.

Highs on Tuesday will level out in the comfortable 70s across Minnesota.

We’ll warm gradually a couple of degrees each day this week. That means by the weekend we’ll see more high temperatures in the lower 80s across Minnesota.

Mainly dry through the weekend

We’re getting a nice respite from the seemingly incessant barrage of widespread heavy thunderstorms of the past few weeks. A few isolated showers may pop up around Minnesota through the weekend, so it’s accurate to say we’ll be mostly dry through Sunday. I would say probably 80 percent of Minnesota will be rain-free through the upcoming weekend.

NOAA’s GFS model shows Canadian high pressure sagging south through midweek. A few pop-up showers are possible this weekend.
