A few early morning showers expected in the Red River Valley area, and mainly in southern Minnesota near the I-90 corridor. This afternoon and evening we are expecting redevelopment of showers and storms with a slow moving cold front.
Hazy conditions; humidity and storms
Wildfires from Canada continue to present air quality issues for portions of northern Minnesota. Hazy sunshine is expected through the weekend. Better conditions are hopeful for Sunday.
Dewpoints in the upper 50s to low 60s will create some uncomfortable conditions and fuel some thunderstorm chances this weekend. Precipitation chances remain low for development but with a slow moving cold front we can expect some rainfall amounts up to an inch possible.
Our temperatures remain seasonal with highs expected this weekend in the upper 70s to low 80s. Highs in northern Minnesota for Saturday will be in the mid 80s due to less cloud cover.
