Low temperatures Saturday night are expected to drop into the upper 60s to low 70s. Winds will continue out of the south tonight between 5-10 mph, with occasional gusts to 15-20 mph.
Our dew points continue to be in the upper 60s to low 70s through the middle of the work week.
Severe weather risk this weekend
As a surface low moves east out of the Dakotas, a stalled front shifts eastward Sunday. This feature will introduce shower and storm chances for the Twin Cities area. Some uncertainty remains in the forecast regarding the intensity and placement of this activity. Models are in agreement when it comes to the bulk of the activity coming in for late Sunday night into early Monday.
Cooler temperatures expected on Monday.
Cooler temperatures will settle in briefly for Monday behind the front, as highs return back into the lower to mid-80s.
Stormy weather pattern ahead.
A few shortwaves of energy will ride a ridge of high pressure into Wednesday and Thursday. This will give us our next best chance at precipitation through the week. Temperatures remain warm in the 90s for Tuesday and Wednesday.
