A severe weather threat continues Sunday night into early Monday morning with a stalled front moving very slowly to the east. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk for damaging winds, large hail and heavy rainfall. We could see rainfall amounts between 2- 4 inches where these storms develop.
Stormy setup this week
The weather pattern for this week will remain quite active with multiple chances for showers and thunderstorms. Tuesday will be mostly dry before rain moves in Tuesday night into Wednesday. By Wednesday night, we will see an even stronger system set up through early Thursday morning.
Quiet start to August; above average temperatures continue
The weather pattern becomes quieter Thursday into Friday, with a brief relief from the oppressive dewpoints. Our temperatures will continue to trend at or above our seasonal average. Look for high temperatures in the lower to mid-80s for Monday, and then mid to upper 80s return for the end of July, beginning of August.
