The steamy weather continues the rest of this week. We also have more chances of storms through early Thursday before stable weather and sunshine build in for Friday.
More storm chances ahead along with muggy air
Spotty morning thunderstorms will push east and fizzle out by midday with decreasing clouds into Tuesday afternoon, making way for another steamy day.
Highs Tuesday will be well into the 80s with some places near 90 degrees.
Wednesday will be hot and humid. Highs will be near 90 Wednesday afternoon.

The heat index will be in the mid to upper 90s Wednesday afternoon as dew points rise into the low to mid-70s.
More storms will be possible — potentially in two rounds — Wednesday into Wednesday night and early Thursday. We could see some morning activity that would likely not be severe, but storms will develop again later Wednesday afternoon and evening into the overnight Wednesday night.
Storms that do develop could be strong to severe. There’s a slight risk (level 2 of 5) of severe storms for portions of southwest Minnesota Wednesday into Wednesday night.
Clouds will decrease Thursday as more stable air moves in for Friday and Saturday. We should see sunshine and dry weather those days to end the week and start the weekend. It will still be hot with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 both Friday and Saturday.
A cool front slides through Saturday night, dropping temperatures and dew points a bit for Sunday and Monday.
