Storms today will mainly focus west of Interstate 35, for central and southern Minnesota. Primary threat with these storms will be large hail, and damaging winds. Look for the storms to continue into the late evening and overnight hours.
Saturday’s temperatures could once again climb into the mid to upper 80s. Southwestern Minnesota will see the warmest temperatures in the low 90s.
Heat indices for Saturday expected to climb near the triple digit mark for southwestern Minnesota, mid to upper 90s for the metro area.

Sunday will be slightly cooler with additional rain chances.
Sunday’s rain chances will fall along the cold front that will be along southern Minnesota. There is a marginal risk for severe during this timeframe. Sunday’s highs will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s up north, and upper 80s to low 90s elsewhere.
Several inches of rain possible on Monday.
Soaking rain is expected on Monday with a frontal boundary draped across southern Minnesota. Some forecast models are showing 2-3 inches of rainfall, with some locally higher amounts possible.
Monday will be our first cool day in a long stretch of days in the 70s.
